ForkLift is a powerful file manager and ferociously fast FTP client clothed in a clean and versatile UI that offers the combination of absolute simplicity and raw power expected from a well-executed Mac software.

ForkLift will connect to any remote server SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Google Drive, Rackspace CloudFiles, SMB, AFP and NFS shares on your local network,- pretty much anything you can plug into or hook up to a Mac. ForkLift also carries a complete toolbox for managing your files, including Folder Synchronization, Multi-Rename, Archive handling, Application deleter, editing files over remote connections and many more. Reliability: 4.0

i had one glitch while updating, customer support helped me and it did not happen again. Compare this with Pathfinder, I had a frozen situation several times per day. This was the reason i was looking for a new tool.

very personal and engaged. Really helpful, they treat me well as a client. I need to compare this again to, after they changed to subscription only, the support was, well, not supportive any more

I have been using ForkLift for years. The program always had serious errors. For example, when saving files after they had been edited with a text editor. After several mails with the support the problem was fixed at some point (v3) - after the text editor BBEdit was always blamed at first. Unfortunately, the new version 4 is no better. One bug: the modification date is not updated after a file has been modified. Even after restarting ForkLift, the original date is still displayed. Whether a file has been changed / written is therefore not recognizable. If such essential functions of an FTP program do not work reliably, I cannot recommend the program.

Have an issue with shortcut icons not displaying properly. Emailed them and, a week later, still didn't hear anything back. Emailed them again and got a reply just saying they didn't know if they could help me but they'd add it to their bug tracker. No suggestions. No indication they were interested in figuring out my issue.

Ditched ForkLift for Transmit a while back. ForkLift would constantly choke on "large" (400mb+) downloads. Now a lot of advertising chrome for version 4. No thanks.

Forlift 4 is available and there is no any discount on this paid update for all current users who supported them for all this years. And now they have "lifetime" licences with subscription model.. and it is not acceptable for me..
